This important and fascinating hobby is popular and for good reason! Have you always wanted to have your own hives, wanted to know more about how important bees are to the health of our gardens and more? This is the class for you. 

This course will cover the basics needed to get you started in Beekeeping. The instructor will discuss the costs involved from purchasing bees to the equipment. Other topics that will be covered; Bee biology and habits, how and where to aquire your bees, what equipment you will need to start, how to assemble that equimpment, using the various tools required, seasonal management; pests and diseases, and of course, Honey harvesting! 

If you are thinking of starting your own hives, taking courses from experienced bee masters are vital! 

Join Master Beekeepers Christopher and Paula Easton for this 6 week course to get your on your way to having your own hives. 

When: Tuesdays, beginning February 27th.

Time: 6:00-8:00 p.m.

In this eighth and final session in the Grow A Better Garden series, Barbara will discuss common problems all gardeners have. What to do when there is a drought, a flood? What if your plants are failing and you don't know why? This is also your chance to have all of your gardening questions answered if they weren't answered before! 

You can attend this session or ALL of them. It depends on your needs!

In this fifth session, Barbara will be teaching you how to get your plants in the garden sucessfully and thriving after transplanting. Transitioning plants from the cozy environment of your home or local greenhouse takes time to ensure success. A few added techniques will make this process easier!

Do you want to learn how to grow a vegetable garden? Already have a vegetable garden but want to make it better? Join Barbara Murphy, Master Gardener for one or all of the eight series she will be teaching this spring!

In this second session; Choosing What to Grow, Barbara will help you through the challenge of deciding what to grow in your garden. With so many different choices and varieties all requiring different skill levels, determining what to grow can be overwhelming. She can help! 

Barbara Murphy is a Master Gardener and a very enthusiastic gardener and teacher of gardening! You will go away from her class with new knowledge and an excitment to get your hands dirty this spring! 

This class is one in a series of eight different topics that will be covered before it's time to dig in to the soil. Take one, or take all of them! Registration for each is separate.
