The HiSET is a High School Equivalency Test that replaced the GED in the State of Maine in 2014. The purpose of the HiSET is to certify a candidate’s attainment of academic knowledge and skills equivalent to those of a high school graduate. Candidates will be tested in five core areas: reading, writing, math, science and social studies. Testing candidates with documented disabilities may apply for testing accommodations in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
We provide the support and preparation tools you need to succeed on the HiSET. Registration, pretesting, advising, and HiSET prep courses in all subjects are available by appointment during the day and evenings in Bethel at MSAD 44. Official HiSET testing is offered. Rolling admission.
