University College fits your schedule
University College is part of the University of Maine system that provides statewide access to courses and degrees for those who cannot pursue studies on a University of Maine System campus. University of Maine System universities use the Web, interactive television (ITV) and other delivery methods to bring classes to you anytime, anywhere. ITV classes are broadcast live by faculty to a University College Center or course site. You can participate in online courses from home or here at the Continuing Education Office. For more information, call the Continuing Education Office at 824-2780 or visit the University College web site at www.learn.maine.edu. University College course catalogs are available here at the Continuing Education office, located on the Telstar campus.
Osher Scholarship
Qualified students who would like to give college a try can apply for an Osher scholarship, which will pay up to $650 toward tuition, books and fees for one course. A person must be a Maine resident with a high school diploma or GED, must fill out a simple one-page request form, and must enroll in a qualifying course. Preference is given to those who have never completed a college course. Call 824-278 to learn more.
