The HiSET is the High School Equivalency Test that replaced the GED in the State of Maine in 2014. The purpose of the HiSET is to certify a candidate’s attainment of academic knowledge and skills equivalent to those of a high school graduate. Candidates will be tested in five core areas: reading, writing, math, science and social studies.
We provide the support and preparation tools you need to succeed on the HiSET. Registration, pretesting, advising, and HiSET prep courses in all subjects are available by appointment during the day and evenings in Bethel at MSAD 44. Official HiSET testing is offered. Rolling admission.
Call our office at 824-2136 ext 1340 or email us to make an appointment at our Adult Learning Center. Our Learning Center instructor will help you strengthen your skills. Then you and the instructor will schedule your tests with our HiSET examiner.
There is no charge for the HiSET exam.
